Metlico wins Sheraton Cairo Hotel’s workers’ comp insurance policy
Egypt’s Misr Emirates Takaful Life Insurance (Metlico) has won a workers’ compensation insurance coverage policy at Sheraton Cairo Hotel, its managing director said on Sunday.
The one-year term policy is with a total sum insured up to 166.8 million Egyptian pounds ($10.3 million), Ayman El Alfy further told Amwal Al Ghad.
The insurance policy will see coverage of natural death, and total or permanent partial disability, El Alfy added.
“We have insured 829 workers at Sheraton Cairo Hotel,” he said.
Moreover, the firm targets a 38.2 percent growth in premiums to 149 million pounds during the current financial year 2019/2020 from 107.8 million pounds during the financial year 2018/2019, El Alfy said.
“Our strategy focuses on optimising the premium portfolio through tapping geographically and increasing the company’s branches to 8 within the upcoming period, besides promoting our insurance products,” El Alfy concluded.
