Min. Awad highlights Egypt-EU ties at Europe Day ’25

Egypt’s Minister of Local Development Manal Awad took part in Europe Day 2025 celebrations hosted by the European Union delegation in Cairo on Sunday evening, the Cabinet said in a statement on Monday.

Minister Awad congratulated the EU ambassador on the occasion, highlighting Europe Day as a symbol of unity and cooperation within the EU. She reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the bloc, particularly in areas of sustainable development, peace, and prosperity.

The minister noted that Egyptian-EU relations have seen significant progress under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with expanded cooperation across multiple sectors.
