The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology intends to propose a bid for the purpose of specialized training at a cost of 25 million EGP, during this March.
Dr. Mohamed Salim – Minister of Communications and information Technology- announced that the ministry will present this bid to small and medium companies, which operate in the sector to present the training content needed for the program from their side.
The Minister also said that the program differs from that one presented by the Information Technology Institution “ITI”, which aims at training graduates on the employment requirement in IT sector.
Salim added that the Ministry will cancel the validation of the “International Computer Driving License ICDL” within the next year 2013, as the ministry will replace the ICDL with “Computer Competence Certificate C3” project that is dedicated to execute an Egyptian Certificate on the basics of information technology and communications.
To be mentioned that the ministry has issued the bid of the Egyptian Certificate by the end of 2011, and the number of users who benefited from the program reached 830,000 users in last December, according to the ministry’s indexes.
