Mobinil will not take International Gateway but preserves Rights to do So: CEO

Egyptian mobile operator Mobinil on Wednesday announced it has extended an agreement with Telecom Egypt  for the international gateway by 4 years, said Yves Gauthier, Mobinil CEO.

Mobinil will not be taking the international gateway license for the moment, Gauthier added, saying that “we preserve our rights to do so in the future”.

Mobinil signed two agreements with Telecom Egypt; the first agreement regarding international call services for 4 years, the second agreement is for 5 years for the infrastructure services

The firm said in a statement on Tuesday it does not expect a significant impact on financial results from the signing of the two agreements.
