Mohammed bin Zayed at COP27: UAE will remain oil, gas supplier as long as there is need
UAE’s President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan said on Monday at COP27 summit in Egypt that his country will remain a supplier of oil and gas for “as long as the world is in need.”
“The UAE is considered a responsible supplier of energy and it will continue playing this role for as long as the world is in need of oil and gas,” bin Zayed said.
As UAE will be hosting the next COP in 2023, he said his country will continue cooperation with the international community to face climate change and that COP28 would focus on implementing the outcomes of previous sessions.
COP28 summit, which will take place at Dubai’s Expo City, will include the “first evaluation of the implementation of the Paris Climate Accords”, bin Zayed added.
