Moroccan airlines, Royal Air Maroc, is seeking to buy 150 aircrafts worth around $25 billion, said the company’s CEO Abdelhamid Addou on Monday.
Addou said that the move will increase the company’s fleet from 50 aircrafts to 200.
The deal seeks to bond Morocco with the rest of the globe, allowing Casablanca to become a tourist destination with the capacity to hold a huge number of tourists.
This comes in line with the FIFA’s choice of Morocco to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, alongside Spain and Portugal.
According to Addou, the airline is speeding its plans to buy the aircrafts over the coming period, instead of the initial plan of buying it over 15 years.
