Ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi was prevented from attending court on Wednesday for his trial on leaking classified documents to Qatar due diabetes-related health issues.
A prison hospital report was presented to the judge during the hearing which showed that Morsi’s illness rendered him unable to attend his trial session at the Cairo court.
The judge adjourned the case of Morsi and 10 other defendants to 2 August.
Morsi has already been sentenced to 20 years jail in the Ittihadiya case, to death in the Wadi Natroun jailbreak case and to life in jail over leaks to foreign groups including Hamas and Hezbollah.
