Moscow Exchange indices up at Tuesday’s opening

Russian stock exchange indices edged up at the start of trading on the Moscow Exchange on Tuesday. By 10:40 am Moscow time, the MOEX index had climbed to 2,874.1 points, up by 1.3 per cent, while the RTS index was at 1,006.59 points, gaining 1.03 per cent.

The yuan-to-rouble exchange rate also increased, reaching 11.872 roubles, up by 10.35 kopecks. Earlier, at 10:00 am, the MOEX index had risen by 0.5 per cent to 2,858.93 points, and the RTS index had also grown by 0.5 per cent to 1,001.28 points.

At the opening, the yuan-to-rouble rate had risen by 2.75 kopecks from the previous trading session, reaching 11.9185 roubles.
