Moscow Exchange suspends USD, euro trades

The Moscow Exchange Group started on Thursday to cease trading in US dollar and euro currency pairs due to newly imposed US restrictive measures.

Instead, the exchange will focus on trading currency and precious metals across all available instruments, excluding those involving the US dollar and euro.

These adjustments will impact the stock market, currency market, and standardised derivatives market, while operations in the futures market will proceed unchanged.

Amid these changes, the Moscow Exchange reassured its clients of continued access to all exchange segments under these new conditions.

According to the exchange, it possesses all necessary tools to maintain uninterrupted trading amidst heightened volatility, including discrete auctions and mechanisms for promptly adjusting risk parameters.
