The Egyptian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has partnered with digital platform developer, eAswaaq Misr, to manage, operate, and market Egypt’s inaugural digital services platform for SMEs, according to an issued cabinet statement on Sunday.
The digital platform, which is set to launch in three months, will include all organisations providing financial and technical support to SMEs, the statement added.
“The online SME digital services platform will involve a broad range of competent authorities, such as banks, non-profit organizations, and government bodies,” said MSMEDA CEO Bassel Rahmy.
MSMEDA’s partnership with the E-Finance For Digital and Financial Investments owned eAswaaq Misr is not its first contribution to SMEs, as it has been leading initiatives to help Egyptian SMEs.
Its most recent initiative is the 150 million Egyptian pounds financing agreement signed with the Saudi Arabia Grant Management Committee (SAGMC) on Tuesday, to support small industrial projects in Egypt.
