Nahyan bin Mubarak receives Governor of Aswan to discuss promoting Egyptian tourism

ABU DHABI, 6th May, 2015 (WAM) — Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, last night received Mustafa Yousri, Governor of Aswan Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and his accompanying delegation, along with members of the Arab Centre for Tourism Media, headed by Hussain Al Mannai, Chairman of the centre.

During the meeting, which was also attended by a number of journalists and media professionals from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Sheikh Nahyan hailed the distinctive relations that the UAE and Egypt share, pointing to the ongoing cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially in tourism and investment.

Sheikh Nahyan stressed that the UAE supports tourism and investment projects in Egypt, he also commended the opening of an Egyptian Tourism Authority office in Abu Dhabi, which he said has a significant impact in supporting Egyptian tourism.

The Aswan Governor praised the comprehensive cultural renaissance witnessed by the UAE, especially in tourism, referring to the launch of several tourism projects, programmes and events hosted by the country.

He also invited Arabs to visit Egypt and enjoy its touristic attractions, including its archaeological sites and beaches, adding that Egypt welcomes tourists and aims to provide them with a comfortable and unique experience.
