Amal Ammar eyes deeper gender collaboration with Top 50 Women Forum
Egypt’s Top 50 Women Forum has named Counselor Amal Ammar, chairperson of Egypt’s National Council for Women (NCW), as one of the country’s most influential women for 2024, according to a NWC statement on Monday.
The recognition was presented during a visit by forum founder Dina Abdel Fattah to the council’s headquarters in Cairo. The delegation included forum Managing Director Nermeen Abdel Fattah and Public Relations Director Nevine Hassib.
Ammar welcomed the award, expressing pride in being recognised for her role in championing women’s rights and leadership. She also praised the forum’s efforts to elevate Egyptian women in both the public and private sectors.
Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration to support female empowerment, foster leadership across generations, and showcase successful women as role models.
The 2024 honourees were selected through a joint survey conducted by the Top 50 Women Forum in partnership with Amwal Al Ghad Magazine and Exlnt Communications, both part of United Media Services (UMS). Selection criteria included achievement, leadership, and influence across key sectors.
