NATO Military Committee chairman, Rob Bauer stated on Friday his appreciation for Egypt’s vital role to ensure the stability of the Middle East and Africa.
Bauer assured that the alliance is developing cooperation relations between partners in the southern Mediterranean including Egypt, in the areas of training and capacity building.
The meeting held with Egypt’s Ambassador to Brussels, Badr Abdel Aty at NATO’s headquarter.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that the meeting discussed existing cooperation programs, in addition to the progress that made within individual partnerships and cooperation programs between the two sides.
Abdel-Aty reviewed the Egyptian efforts to confront terrorist and extremist ideology by focusing on the economic, social, and security dimensions of countering terrorism.
Moreover, the meeting tackled the repercussions of the Ukrainian war on the global economy and food crisis.
