NBE to Obtain US$ 100 Mln from EBRD Soon

Soha Soliman, Head of Small and Medium Enterprises at National Bank of Egypt, said the NBE is about to obtain a loan of US$ 100 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

In the light of signing cooperation protocol between NBE and Hotels Association (EHA), Ms. Soliman has pointed out that NBE will specify US$ 50 million for SMEs. Moreover, NBE will direct the second part of the loan of US$ 50 million to Companies and Trade’s sector.

Soliman explained that NBE is still in the stage of negotiations over determining the interest rates with EBRD.
