New convention centre infrastructure in Egypt’s Capital City to cost $600mn

The infrastructure of a new convention centre in Egypt’s new administrative capital city is currently being executed aiming to converting Egypt into a regional hub for international exhibitions said Trade Minister Monday.

The new convention center execution would cost total value of US$600 million, Tarek Qabil added.

The new capital of Egypt is a large-scale project announced by Egyptian housing minister Mostafa Madbouly during Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) on 13 March 2015.

The new Capital city phase I would include building 42.000 housing units on an area of 33.000 feddans. In addition, it would encompass designing and building the ministerial buildings, the biggest park in the Middle East and an artificial lake.
