New, secure banknotes introduced in Oman

The Central Bank of Oman has introduced new, upgraded banknotes of RO5 and RO10 denominations with additional security features with effect from Sunday.

These new banknotes shall be in circulation as legal tender along with the existing banknotes which shall continue to remain legal tender, and circulated side by side with these new notes, CBO said.
