Egypt’s General Authority for Free Zones and Investment (GAFI) announced on Sunday the new terms that will regulate the operations of firms working in free zones.
The terms, according to a decree issued on Sunday, aim to follow up on the extent of compliance with exporting percentage targets for the firms working in the free zones as scheduled in 2019.
A working group, according to the decree, will be formed to determine every three months the targeted exporting percentages for these firms.
Exporting percentages, domestic exports, and exports destined for the international market will be set according to a sampling process.
