Nigeria’s economy expands in Q3 ’24

Nigeria’s economy expanded by 3.46 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2024, marking an acceleration from the previous quarters, a statement from the country’s statistics agency showed on Monday.

Despite this positive trend, the growth rate is below President Bola Tinubu’s six per cent goal. In the first quarter of this year, the economy grew 2.98 per cent, and in the second quarter, it grew 3.19 per cent.
