Nissan Egypt to launch 3rd locally-assembled model

Nissan Egypt signed on Wednesday a $45 million investment agreement to produce a third model at its Egyptian factory, with a local component ratio exceeding 54 per cent.

Moreover, the company plans to explore export opportunities for the locally assembled model and aims to increase production to over 30,000 vehicles annually by 2025, with an additional $2 million allocated to enhance capacity.

Mohamed Abdel Samad, Managing Director of Nissan Egypt, noted that the third model will feature a substantial local component. He also revealed plans to expand exports, further strengthening Egypt’s role as a regional manufacturing hub.

The announcement coincides with Nissan Egypt’s 20th anniversary in the Egyptian market. The company has already exported over 16,000 locally manufactured Sunny models and aims to increase exports by 50 per cent in the current fiscal year. With export revenues exceeding $150 million, Nissan Egypt seeks to expand its international presence.
