Japan’s automaker giant, Nissan Motor has total investments in the Egyptian market exceeding US$100 million, the regional general manager for Egypt and North Africa Mahmoud Halawa said.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad on Monday, Halawa said Nissan Egypt’s volume of sales during the previous fiscal year were estimated at 28.927 cars, amid plans to boost the volume to 30.000 by end of the fiscal year 2015-2016.
Nissan’s market share in Egypt is 10%, resulting in being in the second place among other international automakers existing in the Egyptian market, the official noted. Nissan is targeting a 12% share of the Egyptian auto market in the coming period, Halawa concluded.
