The Health Ministry’s Crisis and Emergency taskforce has not received any communication about cases of poisoning in any hospital nationwide so far, said Khaled al-Khatib, head of the task force and the Central Administration of Critical and Urgent Care, on Monday.
The Ministry raised the degree of readiness at all hospitals and has provided large quantities of vaccines and antidotes, he added.
All hospitals were provided with an adequate stock of all emergency medicines, said spokesperson for the Ministry of Health Khaled Megahed.
The medical teams’ vacation has been canceled, he added.
According to Megahed, 2,740 ambulances have been deployed on streets nationwide as well as 10 ambulance boats in the Nile River with the latest medical equipment.
The vehicles were distributed to places of celebrations, public parks, churches and the entrances and exits of highways, he said.
