Eng. Hisham El-Alayli , CEO of the Egyptian telecom regulator the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), has denied reports saying that the authorities in Egypt are studying to make a pricing for the free telecom services, including the Whats app, Viper and BPM applications, in addition to the YouTube and other services.
El-Alayli said the providers of these services and applications offered to the users these applications for free, so ‘how could NTRA priced these applications’.
Some newspapers have published a new regarding the confirmation of some of NTRA’s unidentified sources, and that NTRA is looking into the regulation and the pricing of free telecom services OTT, such as Whats app, Viber and BBM, in addition YouTube and other services.
