OpenAI, SoftBank set up enterprise AI solution in Japan

OpenAI and SoftBank Group have partnered on Monday to create and promote Cristal intelligence, an advanced enterprise AI solution tailored to individual companies by securely integrating their systems and data.

SoftBank Group Corp. plans to invest $3 billion annually to implement OpenAI’s solutions within its group companies, becoming the first company to scale up the use of artificial intelligence, such as ChatGPT Enterprise, across its entire workforce.

Furthermore, to expedite the deployment of AI tailored for Japan-based companies, OpenAI and the SoftBank Group have agreed to form a joint venture (JV) named SB OpenAI Japan.
