Orange Egypt signs agreement with Fawry to enhance digital payment services
Orange Egypt has signed on Tuesday a partnership agreement with Egyptian e-payment giant Fawry to enhance digital payment services on the Orange cash wallet and to upgrade its inclusive features.
The agreement will enhance Orange cash as a leading digital payment service in Egypt, providing customers with a comprehensive money management solution with a reliable, secure, and fully compliant platform which meets with the international technologies and security standards.
Orange cash offers a huge variety of services for money transfers and payments such as electricity, water, and gas bills, as well as payment of insurance installments and union payments.
It also includes payment of installments for clubs, schools, universities, donations, buying tickets, and traffic fine payment. In addition to online shopping, real estate installments, settlements of bank notes, and merchant payments.
Fawry aims to sign strategic and efficient partnerships with the most prominent companies and organizations that provide digital payment services on their smart wallets.
CEO of Orange Egypt, Yasser Shokry said “Orange Cash provides now its customers with unprecedented digital payment capabilities in the field of e-wallets in Egypt.”
This will allow the customers to benefit from the latest global trends in this field in a faster, safer, and effective way, Shokry added.
This collaboration support country’s vision to depend on digital payment methods in banking, in order to limit the circulation of money which recently became a priority to deal with digital transformation, said Fawry’s CEO, Ashraf Sabry.
Sabry added that Fawry has invested heavily that made it the strategic partner for digital transformation services and the creation and management of mobile wallet platforms.
“Our company will work with orange to add significant momentum for the solutions provided for digital payments in Egypt. This will happen through digital solutions across the nation,” Sabry mentioned.
