Orascom Construction names Jerome Guiraud as non-executive chairman

Egypt’s Orascom Construction appointed Jerome Guiraud as its Non-Executive Chairman of the board, the firm announced in a Tuesday statement.

“Mr. Guiraud is replacing Nassef Sawiris as Non-Executive Chairman and representative of NNS Capital and the Sawiris Family, which has a beneficial ownership in the Company of 51 percent,” the statement said.

Guiraud, A French citizen, had been chief executive officer and director of NNS Capital since 2008. Shareholders will be asked to confirm the appointment as a company director at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 25, it said.
