Orascom Construction Limited has won $200 million of building contracts for three projects in Algeria and Egypt, the firm announced in a Sunday statement.
The two contracts in Algeria, totaling $180 million, will require Orascom to build a new cement plant with a daily capacity of 6,000 tonnes for a private sector client in addition to some infrastructure works for an industrial complex.
The statement further added that National Steel Fabrication, a fully-owned subsidiary of Orascom, had also won a $20 million contract in Egypt to manufacture and supply all structural steel for a West Nile Delta gas project.
