More than 100,000 tourists visited Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh resorts since Egypt’s resumption of inbound tourism on July 1, announced Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism on Tuesday.
The number of tourists arriving in Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh has so far exceeded 100,000 tourists, the ministry added.
The tourists come from Belarus, Ukraine, Switzerland, Hungary, and Serbia.
The three governorates open to tourists at present are South Sinai, Red Sea, and Matrouh.
Most of the tourists have returned home without a case of coronavirus (COVID-19) being observed, said the ministry.
