Passengers turn to Arab Bridge Maritime as air travel in Middle East wobbles
Arab Bridge Maritime Company, jointly owned by Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq, said on Sunday that it is operating normally and safely, offering an alternative for travellers and tourist groups affected by widespread flight cancellations in the region.
The company runs daily ferries on the international Aqaba–Nuweiba route and the tourist Aqaba–Taba line. Its Director-general Adnan Al-Abadla said the number of sailings will be increased to meet rising demand as many flights are canceled or delayed due to regional conflict.
Arab Bridge serves as a key maritime link between Jordan and Egypt and allows travellers to reach destinations worldwide via Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport and Cairo International Airport. The company can also transport Iraqi and Syrian passengers from Egypt to Baghdad and Damascus whose airline bookings were canceled, following necessary approvals.
Passengers can book in advance through the company’s authorised offices in Jordan and Egypt or via its official online platform, offering flexibility and secure travel amid ongoing disruptions.
