Egypt’s PMS launches 4th phase at Kamose gas field in North Sinai

Egypt’s Petroleum Marine Services Company (PMS) has launched the fourth phase of its development at the offshore Kamose gas field in North Sinai, as per a petroleum statement on Tuesday.

As part of the expansion, PMS will install three new offshore production platforms—Hoor, KSE-1, and Snefru—along with laying three 8-inch pipelines to connect the new platforms to the existing production network. This will ensure seamless integration with PMS’s primary marine systems.

In addition to the platform and pipeline installation, the project includes connecting the field to a Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) to expedite startup operations and boost production capacity.

PMS confirmed it has received the official mandate to proceed with the project, which is being developed under the North Sinai Petroleum Company (NOSPCO).

This new phase follows the successful completion of the third phase, which saw the installation of five offshore platforms and five pipelines in zones 3A and 3B, further enhancing the field’s production capacity.
