Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, has conducted an inspection tour of the Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRUs) Hoegh Galleon and Energos Eskimo at the SUMED oil port in Ain Sokhna.
The two vessels, stationed at the port’s berths, play a key role in securing natural gas supplies by receiving liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments, converting them into gaseous form, and injecting the gas into the national grid. This process supports the energy needs of various consumption sectors across the local market.
During the visit, Badawi expressed his appreciation to the operational teams from petroleum sector companies working on both vessels.
