Egypt’s leading drug manufacturer Pharco Pharmaceuticals, Inc. targets launching new plant for pharmaceutical materials in Borg El Arab, Alexandria during the coming two weeks.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Wednesday, President Sherine Helmy stated that the new plant has already started operating with investment cost of US$30 million but would be launched officially within the coming period by Egyptian Health Minister Ahmed Emad.
The new plant is an environment-friendly one that follows all European standards and specifications related to polluter materials, the official clarified.
Emad said that the new factory has been equipped with high-technology machines with investment cost of US$6 million.
On other side, the chairman added that the company cooperates with the ministry to fight Hepatitis C virus (HCV) through providing four mobile clinics in a number of governorates notably Kafr el-Sheikh, Beheira, and Alexandria.
