PM: Egypt expands agricultural investment opportunities
Egypt is focusing on offering investment opportunities in agricultural land reclamation, equipped with essential infrastructure, utilities, and land planning, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly announced.
He emphasised to a group of investors whom he met on Wednesday evening that the country’s 2030 vision prioritises four main sectors: industry, agriculture, ICT, and tourism, with agriculture taking a central role, adding that the government is committed to supporting large-scale agricultural projects in the New Delta, Sinai, Toshka, and East Owainat, which are expected to deliver positive results over the next two years.
Additionally, Madbouly revealed that over the next three years, the government plans to make tens of thousands of acres available, complete with essential infrastructure. These projects, which include a multi-billion-pound wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 7-8 million cubic metres per day, aim to enhance investment opportunities in agriculture.
