PM: Qatar will continue pushing Israel to a ceasefire
Qatar’s prime minister, Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani announced on Sunday that even with the “narrowing” odds, Doha will keep pressuring Israel to a ceasefire in Gaza.
Al Thani said Israeli military aggression will never lead to freeing the hostages in Gaza, emphasising the importance of holding more negotiations.
The Israeli attacks on Gaza have been ongoing for 64 days. The Palestinian death toll has surpassed 17,700, two-thirds of whom are children and women.
On Friday, the US vetoed a UN resolution that called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, although senior UN officials issued a dire warning that millions of Palestinians caught in the war zone would hardly have access to aid if the Israeli attacks didn’t stop.
It’s noteworthy that Jewish communities worldwide are celebrating their 8 days of Hanukkah holidays since December 7. However, the IDF doesn’t seem to take a break from massacring the innocent Palestinians.
