Egypt’s Power outage which has hit various parts of Cairo and other governorates since early today morning for five hours Continuously revealed that there is poor in the three mobile phone operators’ infrastructure in Egypt where some of them cut off and the other weak.
Mobile operators have not found any solutions concerning this dilemma although it repeated in the recent times.
External Affairs and Legal Director for Vodafone Egypt Khaled Hegazy said the power outage has suspended more than 2000 networks across republic and this affected on telecommunications’ services.
Aroud 1000 networks were out of service in Cairo and Giza governorates along with 500 networks in Upper Egypt and Red Sea besides other 500 in Delta.
Vodafone Egypt allocated EGP44 million within the current year to face those repeated power outages, Hegazy noted.
From his part, Osman Abou el-nasr ,Head of North Africa Country Directors’ Council at Nokia Siemens Networks said the power outage for mobile networks affect very negatively, especially in light of the weakness of power plants and generators.
Smart Village were affected by the outage and the work suspended today amid the major power outage gripped Cairo and other governorates early morning.
