Egyptian Union for Investors’ Associations is to hold a preparatory meeting for Upper Egypt’s investment conference next Wednesday.
According to a statement released by the union, the meeting will be headed by Mohamed Farid Khamis- the union’s chairman – in the presence of Upper Egypt’s investors associations.
The conference will be held in Hurghada on September 11-12 this year, under the auspices of the Egyptian government.
It will be held in the presence of Egyptian, Arab and foreign investors who are interested in investing in Upper Egypt region. Like the country’s Economic Development Conference held last March, the government will showcase a number of proposed projects located in Upper Egypt.
The statement added that Khamis and investment minister Ashraf Salman have agreed that the union and Upper Egypt’s investors’ associations are the key partners in the investment conference.
The meeting is to prepare the investment fields in Upper Egypt’s governorates as well as a number of studied investment projects in every governorate, the statement said.
The statement further revealed that the union will hold a meeting with the minister next week to showcase investment fields and opportunities available in Upper Egypt.
It is planned to form business groups to establish investment firms in some projects and invite local, Arab and foreign investors to carry out projects themselves or in cooperation with members of investors’ associations.
