Qatar to sponsor 3,000 orphans, treat 1,500 wounded from Gaza
Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad directed on Sunday to sponsor 3,000 orphans and treat 1,500 injured Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, in coordination with Egypt to receive the wounded people and their companions in regional hospitals.
The initiative is an extension of Qatar’s unwavering support and continued efforts to ease the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip during the difficult humanitarian conditions.
Since the start of the Gaza war in early October, Qatar has dispatched 37 aircraft carrying 1,203 tons of aid, including food, medical, and shelter supplies, as well as a field hospital and ambulances.
