QatarEnergy halts LNG, downstream production after attacks

QatarEnergy has stopped production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and associated products following military attacks on its facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City. The suspension was announced on 2 March 2026.

The company further announced on 3 March 2026 that it will also halt production of downstream products in Qatar, including urea, polymers, methanol, aluminum, and other products. QatarEnergy emphasised its commitment to maintaining communication with all stakeholders and providing the latest available updates.
