QatarEnergy lays foundation stone for North Gas Field expansion project

QatarEnergy laid the foundation stone for the expansion project of the North Gas Field in Qatar, it said on Tuesday.

The North Gas Field is the world’s largest natural gas field and the expansion seeks to increase Qatar’s production of gas by 64 percent.

The expansion will allow Qatar to produce around 126 million tonnes of gas by the end of 2027.

TotalEnergies, Eni, ExxonMobil, Shell, and ConocoPhillips are all working on the expansion efforts.
