QatarEnergy profits jump in 2022

QatarEnergy revealed an increase in its net profits with around 58 percent in 2022, to reach 154.6 billion Qatari riyals.

The profits went up from profits of the year before of around 97.9 billion riyals. Around 40 percent of all the new liquified natural gas (LNG) that will come to the market by 2029 will be produced by QatarEnergy.

The company is now working to increase the production capacity of LNG by 64 percent to produce 126 million tonnes per year by 2027, to go up from the current production of 77 million.
