Egypt’s exports of ready-made garments to the USA, according to the QIZ protocol, went down by 22% last January to achieve EGP 323 million, compared to EGP 414 million in January 2012.
The decline led to decreasing the total exports of ready-made garments in January, recording EGP 629 million, dived by 20%, while the exports in January 2012 attained EGP 778 million, sources in the Foreign Trade Sector stated to “Amwal Al Ghad”.
Mohamed Kasem, Chairman of Ready-made Garments Export Council, told Amwal Al Ghad that all the Egyptian exports are in need to some procedures to suit the global market, like promoting the export value , facilitating the administrative procedures for the exporter and determining the pound’s price according to the supply and demand in the currency market.
