Quena Paper Mulls Over Establishing New Line At EGP50 mln

Quena Paper Industry Company will expand its investments in the factory to including establishing a new line for paper production at EGP 750 million total costs.

Gamal Hashem, Sales Manager, at Quena Paper Industry Company, has stated to “Amwal Al Ghad” that the new expansions aim at increasing the paper production to meet the domestic market’s needs; targeting 150.000 tons each year.

Gamal added that the production of the current lines amounts to 130.000 tons per year and exports most of the production to the global market; referring that the rate of the Egyptian raw material outstrips 70% of the product used in this industry.

It is worth noting that Quena Paper Industry Company  is an Egyptian joint-stock company, established under investment low No. 230/1989, and founded on 15/06/1995 under Decision No. 347/1995 by minister of economy and foreign trade. It is the prime company, in Egypt, Middle East and the regional level, which manufactures newsprint, printing and writing papers from Bagasse remaining from Sugar manufacturing.
