Remittances from Egyptian expats up 8% in first 10 months of 2018 – c.bank
Remittances from expatriate Egyptians rose 8 percent for the first 10 months of the year to $21.4 billion from $19.8 billion last year, the central bank said on Thursday.
It said the remittances in October had climbed by 17 percent to $2.1 billion from $1.8 billion in September.
Remittances from Egyptians living abroad have increased since the country floated its pound currency in November 2016 as part of economic reforms tied to a $12 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund.
