Remittances from Egyptians abroad surge 10.5% y-o-y in 2020: c.bank

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad surged 10.5 percent year-on-year to around $29.6 billion in 2020, the central bank announced on Monday.

Remittances during the fourth quarter– between October and December 2020 – recorded around $7.5 billion, up from around $7.0 billion the previous year, the central bank added.
