Remittances from expatriate Egyptians climb 5.0% in 2019 – c.bank

Egypt received $26.8 billion in remittances from Egyptians living abroad in 2019, around 5.0 percent up from $25.5 billion in 2018, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.

Transfers from Egyptian expatriates are a key source of foreign currency for Egypt.
