A rocket fired on Egypt’s Taba city in Sinai injured six people on Thursday night, AlQahera News reported.
“As part of the current escalation in Gaza, a rocket crashed in Taba, lightly injuring six people”, it added.
According to AFP, witnesses said that the rocket hit a hospital annex in the Red Sea town, near the border crossing with Israel.
Images circulating online showed a damaged building and blown-up vehicles.
This is the second rocket fired on Egypt’s Sinai peninsula since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
On Wednesday, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi inspected Egyptian troops in Suez, and told them to “always be ready”.
