RSS To Achieve EGP 240 Mln Profits by the end of 2012

Rock Software Solutions is willing to make profits of about EGP 240 million by the end of 2012, to be used in opening new opportunities for marketing their products in Egypt and Gulf countries and participating in the projects launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to aid people with disabilities.

Khaled Al-Askary, CEO of Rock Software Solutions, said his company aims to achieve EGP 68 million profits in Egypt,  EGP 170 million in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and the Sultanate of Oman. He pointed out that the company’s profits in  Gulf countries reached about EGP 34 million during the first half of the current year while no profits have been made in Egypt due to the political events that the country witnessed in the last period.

The company will compete to win the tender which will be held next month by the the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology by presenting a program for  the visually impaired. The program is designed to convert readable content into audio in Arabic. He also promised that if the company won the tender, it will offer that project to the Ministry of Education to be used in teaching the visually impaired.

Al-Askary explained that the company has around 17 products in different fields such as electronic archiving, localization, electronic content, Ibsar software (a unique program offering the blind and visually impaired an effective tool for interaction with modern computer technologies), programs for voice recognition on data, in addition to mobile applications, emphasizing that the company is working on developing its products and attracting more customers in the coming period.

Moreover, the company seeks to increase its business in Egypt up to 10% by the end of this year, hoping that the political situation in Egypt gets better after forming the new government.
