Russia, India aim for $100b trade turnover by ’30

Russia and India’s trade turnover hit $46.5 billion in January-September 2024, with potential to reach $100 billion by 2030, according to Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach at the 15th India-Russia business dialogue.

Volvach noted that the two countries had already achieved significant trade growth, with a turnover of $46.5 billion in the first nine months of 2024, a 15 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

Bilateral trade between the countries has increased 15 per cent compared to the previous year, showing a positive and stable trend. This growth is driven by Russia’s diversified exports and a sustained increase in imports from India across various goods, labour, and services.
