Russia Intends to Participate in GCC Railway Project
Vladimir Yakunin –Chairman of Russian Railways Company- stated that his company discusses the idea of undertaking railway constructions in Abu Dhabi.
Yakunin said that mentioned constructions relate to passengers’ transporting, and he added that his company is looking forward to participate in the appropriate bidding for this regard.
To be mentioned that Abu Dhabi – UAE’s Capital- has hosted in the last March the 9th meeting of Financial and Technical Committee of GCC, this is in charge of completing the detailed studies of GCC Railways project, and the comprehensive bid requirements of the project were discussed in that meeting, as well as a presentation of what have been done actually in the project within every single state of the GCC, in light of the predetermined schedule, which included tracks, directions, meeting points, and technical specifications that guarantee compatibility amid GCC states, as MENA stated.
