Russia will increase the quantity of wheat it supplies to Egypt, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, Egyptian state-run news agency MENA reported on Wednesday.
Egypt bought four million tonnes of grain from Russia last marketing year, making it the second largest buyer of Russian wheat after Turkey, Putin also said while speaking at a joint press conference with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi in Moscow on Wednesday.
Egypt, the world’s largest importer of wheat, buys most of its wheat from Russia, Romania, and France.
