Russian bourse down at market open on Tuesday
Russian stock indices began trading on Tuesday morning, with declines. By 10:00 am Moscow time, the MOEX index had dropped by 0.07 per cent to 3,178.71 points, and the RTS index had decreased by 0.13 per cent to 1,129.45 points, as reported by the Moscow Exchange.
By 10:15 am, the declines had accelerated: the MOEX index fell further to 3,175.53 points, a decrease of 0.17 per cent, and the RTS index dropped to 1,123.32 points, down 0.67 per cent.
In currency trading at the Moscow Exchange, the dollar-to-ruble exchange rate increased by 0.61 per cent to 89.09 roubles, the euro-to-rouble rate rose by 0.58 per cent to 95.89 rubles, and the yuan-to-rouble rate climbed by 0.58 per cent to 12.243 roubles.
